Richard Abbuhl is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist with a long history of musical involvement. Beginning his guitar journey in the 1980s, Richard's passion intensified after moving to Haarlem in 1998 and discovering local jam sessions. His formal training includes attending the Berklee Guitar Summer Session in 2007 and taking Skype lessons from various renowned guitarists such as Chris Buono and Wayne Krantz.
In addition to guitar, Richard has pursued vocal training with several instructors, including Jeannie Gagne, who he has studied with since 2019. He is also a songwriter and a member of the songwriting community SongTown, with several songs published on major platforms.
Richard has been active in multiple bands in Haarlem, including his current projects "Richard Abbuhl" and "Richard's Blues Band." His past bands include Haarlem Shuffle Band and Senseye. He has a rich performance history, playing at numerous local venues and festivals, and is always open to performing.
